Alternatives

x: remove from a list or dismiss without deleting the data
trash-clock: delete later, on a schedule
trash-full: the trash has items in it

Don’t confuse with

minus: minus never means remove or delete
eraser: the eraser erases strokes or pixels, not an item
recycle: the recycling loop means recycling, not the trash

Also fits

trash full: the trash in general, or delete
delete layer: the delete button at the foot of a layers panel (Photoshop convention)
shred: an ordinary delete (delete)
delete file: move to trash when the UI already names the file
recycle: the Windows Recycle Bin: deleted items (trash owns delete and bin)
